Dietary Preference

If you have a strict dietary preference, please inform us as soon as possible. I made arrangements for a vegetarian option for the provided meals, but it's one of those things where we implore omnivorous guests to go with the meat option. I suppose that's what we get for choosing a restaurant specializing in house-dried, local, happy meats....

WIFI = nope, not necessarily

Hi there!

Just a heads up:

There is no reliable Wifi within the walls of the Imin Conference Center, so if you have your presentation on dropbox or google docs or something similar, you will need to download it beforehand. In fact, I'm requesting that you either email it to me or put it on a drive and we can load it onto the designated conference computer!

There is also a dearth of WIFI connectivity at Lincoln Hall/Hale Manoa. However, there are Ethernet hookups. It's advisable that you bring your own cord, if you have one, because they are $5 to rent and they are not in the best shape...

UPDATE: I've been informed that some have had good luck with the Ethernet cords, so there you go.

Hello there!

Iʻm putting together the abstract list, so if you havenʻt sent yours yet, you have weekend homework! :) I just got the menu from the caterer and it looks fabulous!

Speaking of catering, if you are bringing someone along who will be joining us for the opening reception dinner, please let me know asap.

We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks! I wanted to give you some advance notice of the things that will be requested of you in the increasingly near future:

• Be working on a brief abstract that will be featured in the conference program.
• Keep us informed about your travel plans, i.e. dates and flight information, as we hope to be able to orchestrate curbside pickup service from the airport!
• Also, if you plan on doing some site-seeing and exploring while you are here, let us know what your plans are. If there is enough interest, we can plan an excursion on Sunday, March 10

Acceptance and Awards

Congratulations to all of those invited to attend this year's conference! Notifications of acceptance and offers of travel awards were dispersed yesterday. We can't wait to see you.
